How our journey began
In 2019, two mental health therapists and long time allies learned of a Transgender clothing exchange in Cincinnati called Transform. Inspired by the wonderful work that was being done, they decided to bring this idea to their community.
Closet TRANSformation is currently renting space from a local church. Christ Episcopal Church is an affirming, supportive ally to the Q+ community and specifically the trans community. We are aware of the trauma that may come from some religions for the Q+ community and have partnered with people who are accepting of all people from all walks of life.
We believe that by creating a safe space for people to express themselves and feel loved, we can increase self worth and decrease self harm. All people deserve to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
